(27 Nov 2018) FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES AND FANS OF DIRECTOR BERTOLUCCI PAY THEIR LAST RESPECTS
Hundreds of people paid their respects to Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci on Tuesday (27 NOV. 2018) as his body lay in state in Rome's City Hall.
Bertolucci, who won Oscars for "The Last Emperor" and whose erotic drama "Last Tango in Paris" enthralled and shocked the world, died on Monday.
He was 77.
Cinematographer Vittorio Storaro, who often worked with Bertolucci remembered his outstanding ability to create equilibrium between various elements of a film.
Film director Mario Martone praised him for his "unique talent" and "artistic and intellectual liberty."
